You do not need to arrive with everything defined. Start with what you are working through, what is changing, or what you need to be ready for next.
A few sentences on what you are working through. I reply with the two questions I would ask first and the evidence that would settle them. A 30-minute call follows if it is useful, under NDA if you prefer.
A fixed-fee answer to the decision in front of you. Those questions, answered against your actual assets, with the evidence work a team cannot easily do from inside.
TMDG works the decision through with you and your team, from plan to execution.
Sometimes there is a gap between the decision that matters and what people are focusing on. Part of my job is helping you and your team see that gap and close it.
I share a working view early, test it with you, and sharpen it as the evidence comes in.
Privately, with the options and my recommendation, so you decide how and when they reach the room.
When new evidence warrants a second look, we reopen the question deliberately, with the reasoning on record.
The Load-Bearing Diagnostic is a fixed-fee answer to the decision in front of you, typically in one to three weeks. It starts from one question: what would have to be true for this to work? I go and find out on the situation in front of you, whether that is a portfolio, a modality shift, a deal, a NewCo, or a program that needs a different model.
At the end of the Diagnostic you receive my answer in a form you can test: the conclusion, the evidence behind it, what I verified, what remains uncertain, and what would change the answer. You also receive a decision architecture your team can run, and a summary written for your board.
TMDG works alongside you to frame the question, connect the system around it, test what the evidence supports and build an executable path forward. That might be a development plan, portfolio prioritization, a transaction or partnership workstream, governance design, an independent program assessment, or the entity and capital architecture for a mission-driven program.
The same discipline can also be built inside your leadership team, working on a live question the team owns.
Some decisions cannot be settled by analysis alone, because several parties each hold part of the authority. Then the work becomes a working room: TMDG designs and runs the session that brings funders, sponsors, regulators, partners or a board to a position each of them can hold.

With Roberta. TMDG is principal-led by design, so senior expertise is directly engaged in the work from beginning to end. When a mandate needs specialist depth, trusted collaborators join the work, and the accountability for the integrated answer stays with TMDG.
Engagements are fixed-fee, agreed in writing before work starts, so you know the cost before the work begins. The first conversation, and the two questions that come back from it, carry no charge.
NDA-first, with a written conflict check before any engagement begins. What you own walking in, you own walking out. Deliverables prepared for you are yours, and TMDG’s methods and instruments are licensed to you for your use.
Alongside them. TMDG takes the integrated decision and its architecture, and is comfortable as the independent voice in a board or investor room.
Yes. Some of the most valuable work happens before the entity exists, while structure, IP, the capital plan and leadership are still being set.
A finished brief is not needed. I read every message myself and reply with the two questions I would ask first. If I am not the right person, I will tell you who is.
